BEET PUDDING


* serves 12 slices


Ingredients I:
  • 50 g beet
  • 1 packet white agar-agar powder
  • 1 tsp instant jelly
  • 150 g sugar
  • 600 ml water
 
Ingredients II:
  • 600 ml milk
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet white agar-agar powder
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
 
Methods:
  1. Ingredients I: boil beet, take out and slice according to preference, set aside. Add the rest of ingredients I, stir until dissolved. Pour a layer of the mixture into a mold, allow to half set
  2. Ingredients II: boil ingredients II except the egg yolk, while stirring. Take a small amount of the mixture and combine well with egg yolk. Pour back the mixture, stir continuously and bring to boil
  3. Pour mixture II over mixture I layer, allow to half set then arrange sliced beets on top
  4. Pour mixture I again, allow to half set, then pour mixture II over until all ingredients are used up
